As an artist I get to share my perception of the world, its vast and complex intricacy, its simple and elegant beauty. I am very lucky to call this my purpose.

In this series I have discovered that much of humanity shares these many and multi-layered views. We share hope, love or fear of the impending, as we gaze out onto the horizon. What's coming next? So many possibilities. When I see the sky touch the oceans “edge� I notice that this parallel moves with me as I walk along the shore.

When I discovered these hand made papers from around the world they helped me to create this wonderful imaginary line. Their varying textures and beauty, replicated a sense of what lays beneath the ocean's surface. Perfect. When I combine the jewel like quality of oil paint with them, the juxtaposition captures the distinctions as well as the similarities.
