Joy and Sadness, Confusion and Clarity, Defeat and Success.

The series began with this puzzle in mind.

Color is the grounding field where my forms are defined as the painting emerges. I love color, all color. Rich color, vivid, or muddy, I applied them in layers to create depth and intrigue. When I add line (I love line), expressive and sensual, the figurative forms that I so often use in my art come alive. The human body is a universal truth. We see ourselves.
